meals!
Don't let cabin fever get the best of you this winter. Join us
for a weekend of playing in the snow and sleep-over fun! Hosts
for the weekend are Lynn Malerba & Mary Hall. Our playground
will include the Tupper Lake Golf Course, flanks of Mt. Morris,
Sugarloaf Ridge and the shores along Big Tupper Lake, Bog &
Raquette Rivers. Our home-base or "social center" for
the weekend is at a cozy haven on Country
Club Road at the base of Mt. Morris (Big Tupper Ski area).
Overnight lodging is at the Red Top Inn located 0.5 mile from the
social center (a quick drive or short snowshoe). The Mt. Morris
- Big Tupper Lake setting boasts outstanding mountain & water
views with awing sunrises
and sunsets. Relaxation
and fun top the list of our weekend priorities.
Exploratory
snowshoe outings (or hikes, if snow is scarce) will be offered each
day. X-C skiing and downhill skiing are optional* (see below). We have machine
groomed trails right out the front door of our home-base. There will be plenty of time to lounge, relax, converse and enjoy
fireside snacks & hot beverages throughout the weekend. An
evening campfire and headlamp snowshoe are planned for Saturday
night. There will be opportunities to play games (or read
a good book by the fire) in the evenings.
Lodging, meals,
snowshoes, poles, daypacks, daily guided treks & trip transportation
are included in this weekend package.
Plan to meet at 10 AM on Friday. Departure is by 4 PM on Sunday. Later arrivals & earlier departures are
fine. We have a 2-day
weekend package for those who would like to join us Saturday &
Sunday only. Day
trippers are also welcome on one or more days with advance
reservations. Contact

This is a small group event (4-8 women including your
hosts). Note that trip transportation is included once you
arrive at our location. Please contact
us soon if you are interested in participating in this event or would like more information.
Package
prices:
3-day package: $450/person (Fri-Sun)
2-day package: $300/person (choose Fri & Sat OR Sat
& Sun)
NOTE: The package prices
are
based on double occupancy. Rooms have 2 full size beds and a
small refrigerator. Private rooms may be
available for an additional $70. Contact us for availability.
Maybe you can only fit a day of fun
in your schedule and would like to join us as a "day tripper".
Day trip packages & options:
$125/person
(includes snowshoes, lunch, dinner & evening activities.)
$110/person (provide own snowshoes; lunch, dinner & evening
activities included)
Snowshoe "day trip" only - $85/person (provide own
snowshoes; no dinner or evening activities)
Group minimum: 2 Group maximum: 6
* Neither X-C ski or
downhill ski equipment are
provided in this package. Lift tickets are $15/day and are
additional as well. Rentals are available with advance
reservations. Contact us if you would like help making ski rental arrangements.
Motel
lodging is on beautiful Big Tupper Lake at the Red Top Inn (0.5 mile from our
"social base" for the
weekend). Big Tupper Ski area will be open for downhill skiing
Fri.-Sun. in 2010. Lift ticket cost is $15/day.
Please note that we require a
minimum of 2 guests to confirm this event by Sunday, February 7th.
Shuttle
service is available for $45.00/trip to &/or from the bus station located
at the Hotel Saranac in Saranac Lake, NY. Arrangements must be
made in advance for this service.
