Below are some of our upcoming adventure trips. To reserve a space for a trip, please complete and submit a reservation form. Be sure to indicate the TRIP NAME and DATE for the trip you are interested. We will contact you with more information regarding the status of the trip and how to make payment. Thank you.

DAY HIKES:

** RESERVATIONS appreciated 5+ days PRIOR for DAY HIKE trips... Last minute inquiries welcomed.
We recommend that hikers come prepared for our rugged Adirondack trails so we have provided a list of clothing and gear that you should bring with you. CLICK HERE FOR the HIKING CLOTHING & GEAR LIST. We can provide day packs and trekking poles if necessary. NOTE: Trail lunches can be provided with advance notice if desired. We generally meet at the trailhead by 9:30 AM.


ST. REGIS MT. HIKE: TBD for 2017

This hike is an enjoyable trek through a mostly open forest. St. Regis Mt. (elev. 2865') is one of the Saranac Lake 6er peaks and has an open-rock summit offering views in all directions of many of the high peaks, lakes and ponds in the area. A fire tower still stands on this summit. The climb is rated as moderate, except for the final ascent to the summit. This is a 6.8 mile round-trip. Cost: $135/person. TUPPER LAKE TRIAD CHALLENGE HIKE: UPON REQUEST

The Tupper Lake Triad is a hiking challenge in the Tupper Lake Region of the Adirondacks. The three family-friendly mountains boast outstanding views of the surrounding mountains and lakes from their summits. We'll hike the three peaks -- Arab, Coney & Goodman then celebrate with a stop at Raquette River Brewery & Arthur's BBQ. Hikers are able to register on the official Triad Roster after completing the challenge with us and will receive a Triad patch & decal to go home with -- and bragging rights, of course. Terrain for the challenge is rated moderate with a total distance of 7.6 miles for all three peaks. Cost: $135/person. New for 2017 are Tupper Triad Hike & Brew Packages. DAY PADDLE CANOE TRIPS:

** RESERVATIONS appreciated 5+ days PRIOR for DAY PADDLE trips... We provide Hornbeck Boats for our paddle trips. Not familiar with Hornbeck canoes? Visit Hornbeck Boats online. They are the lightest boats available, are paddled like a kayak and weigh 12-18 lbs. Real easy to paddle too! We recommend that paddlers come prepared to have the most enjoyable day possible on the water so we have provided a list of clothing and gear that you should bring with you. CLICK HERE FOR the DAY PADDLE CLOTHING & GEAR LIST. We generally meet at the determined meeting point for trips 9:30-9:45 AM. Trip lunches can be provided with advance notice if desired.


St. Regis Seven Carries Pond Hop Trip: June 7, 2017

These bodies of water are part of the ST. REGIS CANOE WILDERNESS AREA. This point to point pond hopping trip will be 8 to 10 miles depending on the amount of exploring we do and the weather conditions for the day. Included in this trip is shuttle service from our meeting point to the put-in at Upper St. Regis Lake. The route passes through Bog, Bear, Little Long, Green, St. Regis and Little Clear Ponds. St. Regis Pond is one of the most beautiful ponds in the Adirondacks and has splendid views of St. Regis Mt. Little Clear Pond is an attractively wild pond which is home to the brood stock for the Land-locked Salmon program. We will portage six times on this trip with the portages being 150 ft., 150 ft., 0.25 mil., 0.25 mi., 100 ft., and 0.6 mile. Cost: $135/person. Click here to reserve a space for this trip.


Bog River Paddle & Hike: July 1, 2017

The Bog River is a very popular area with limited parking at the canoe access. This trip offers much variety in a relatively short distance. The paddle takes us from Lows Lower Dam up the Bog River to Bog River Flow. There is one short portage around Lows Upper Dam. The optional hike to the overlook on Low's Ridge is easy-moderate 2.0 mile round-trip on a nice woods trail to an open ridgeline offering exceptional views of the Bog River area and surrounding peaks. Many of the Adirondack High Peaks are visible on a clear day. The river flows along wooded banks, low marshy shores, cliffs, a floating bog and eskers. Wildlife in the area includes loons, eagles, herons, beaver and a variety of bog flora. The round-trip distance for this trip will be 6 to 8 miles depending on the weather plus 2 miles optional hiking. Cost: $135/person. Click here to reserve a space for this trip.


CANOE CAMPING TRIPS:

** RESERVATIONS appreciated 10+ days PRIOR for CANOE CAMPING trips...
Hornbeck Boats, paddling gear, lightweight backpacks, personal cook systems, camping gear (excluding sleeping bag) and meals are included for camping trips packages below. We tend to meet at our home base location near Tupper Lake at 8 AM on Day 1. We encourage folks to arrive the afternoon prior to the trip to pack so we can get an earlier start in the morning. Ask about a bed & breakfast package to those who make overnight accommodations through us for the night prior to and/or the night we return from the trip.


St. Regis Canoe Camping Trip for Women (2-nights):
June 28-30, 2017
Aug 14-16, 2017
Sept 22-24, 2017

A trip for the ladies exploring and meandering through the St. Regis Wilderness. This area is comprised of a variety of glacial ponds with short portage trails connecting the ponds. St. Regis Pond is quite scenic sitting at the base of St. Regis Mt. We plan to camp for two nights on St. Regis Pond and will offer opportunities for day trips to other ponds in the area. Bird life we generally observe in this region include eagles, loons, osprey, herons and merganser families. Excursions from St. Regis Pond allow exploration of Ochre, Green, Little Long and Bear Ponds. There are opportunities for optional hiking also. We'll travel at a leisurely pace enjoying all there is to see and experience along the way. We provide the perfect boats for exploring this area, the lightest boats in the woods actually at 12-16 lbs. They are fun to paddle and easy to portage... making the many ponds in this area much easier to explore! Space is limited to 4 people. Cost: $420/person. Bog River & Lows Lake Canoe Camping Trip (2-nights): Sept 27-30, 2017

We invite you to experience the beauty of the changing foliage in Bog River & Lows Lake area this fall. This mid-week trip offers solitude that is not common during the summer season. The many islands, sandy beaches, open ridges and floating bogs make this a unique area to explore. There will be opportunities for a variety of paddling and hiking options including a short hike to an open ridge that overlooks the Bog River area. The view is spectacular on a clear day... and autumn color is a wonderful bonus! Space is limited to 4 people per trip. Cost: $420/person. Click here to reserve a space for this trip.


BACKPACK TRIPS:

** RESERVATIONS appreciated 10+ days PRIOR for BACKPACK trips...
Lightweight backpacks, personal cook systems, camping gear (excluding sleeping bag) and meals are provided. Guests are welcomed to bring their own gear & meals if they prefer. We encourage folks to arrive the afternoon prior to the trip to pack so we can get an earlier start in the morning and are able to offer a bed & breakfast package to those who make overnight accommodations through us for the night prior and/or the evening we come off the trail. Transportation will be provided to & from our home base in Tupper Lake.


Northville-Placid Trail (NPT) Backpack Trip (3-nights): Oct 11-14, 2017

Long Lake --> Lake Placid ::: This end to end backpack trip is planned for the section of trail beginning off Tarbell Rd. in Long Lake finishing at the Averyville Rd. trailhead in Lake Placid. Transportation will be provided to & from our home base in Tupper Lake. The trip length is approx. 36 miles through a remote, rugged and scenic wilderness area. We plan to travel an average of 8-9 miles daily enjoying whatever we find of interest along the way. One day may be 12 miles, depending on campsite availability along the Cold River. This trip is intended for stronger hikers and backpackers capable of carrying 30-35 lbs. for many miles. Lightweight backpacks, personal cook systems, camping gear (excluding sleeping bag) and meals are provided. Guests are welcomed to bring their own gear & meals if they prefer. We plan to meet at our home base location near Tupper Lake at 7 AM on Day 1. We expect to depart for the 25 minute drive to the Long Lake trailhead as soon after packing as possible. Women's Pharaoh Lake Wilderness Backpack Trip (3-nights): Oct 6-9, 2017

Female camaraderie on the trail for a few days of backpacking in the eastern Adirondacks during the fall foliage and NO BUG season. This 4-day trip is quite scenic with optional opportunities to explore an area that once supported sawmills, graphite mines and tanneries after the Revolutionary War. Glaciers carved out this area leaving sharp cliff faces and valleys filled with beautiful glacial ponds, marshes and sandy soils. Forest fires have also left their effect on the area. The terrain for this trip will be moderate with optional side trips as time allows. We anticipate that the foliage could be near peak at this time. This is a beautiful area to spend a few days (one of those that you wish others didn't know about). The pace will be leisurely allowing time to enjoy the wonderful views along the way. The daily backpack distances will be between 6-10 miles. This trip is intended for stronger hikers and backpackers capable of carrying 30-35 lbs. for many miles. Lightweight backpacks, personal cook systems, camping gear (excluding sleeping bag) and trail meals are provided. Guests are welcomed to bring their own gear & meals if they prefer. We plan to meet at our home base location near Tupper Lake at 7 AM on Day 1. We expect to depart for the 1:30 drive to the Pharaoh Lake trailhead as soon after packing as possible. Northville-Placid Trail (NPT) Backpack Trip (3-nights): Aug 3-6, 2017

Piseco --> Wakely Dam ::: This end to end backpack trip is planned for the section of trail beginning near the Cold Brook bridge off Haskell Rd. in Piseco finishing near Wakely Dam in the vicinity of Indian Lake. Transportation will be provided to & from our home base in Tupper Lake. The trip length is approx. 30 miles and meanders through a scenic wilderness area with a rich history in logging, woods sports and Adirondack hermits. The West Canada and Cedar Lakes are some of the most remote and beautiful mountain lakes in the Adirondacks. The daily backpack distances will be between 6.5-9.5 miles allowing time to enjoy whatever we find of interest along the way. This trip is intended for stronger hikers and backpackers capable of carrying 30-35 lbs. for many miles. Lightweight backpacks, personal cook systems, camping gear (excluding sleeping bag) and trail meals are provided. Guests are welcomed to bring their own gear & meals if they prefer. We plan to meet at our home base location near Tupper Lake at 7 AM on Day 1. We expect to depart for the 1:35 minute drive to the Piseco trailhead as soon after packing as possible. Cranberry Lake 35 (3-nights): TBD

This is a shorter 35-mile 4-day loop trip that circles Cranberry Lake. The Cranberry Lake 50 is a 50+ mile trail around the third largest lake in the Adirondacks. Though this trek is a bit shorter, it offers a wilderness experience with nice scenery, mountains, ponds, streams, and rivers... with the added bonus of changing foliage and very few bugs. There are several side trips along the way including High Falls and Cat Mt. The terrain for this trip will be gentle to moderate with optional side trips as time allows. The pace will be leisurely with daily backpack distances between 8-11 miles. This trip is best for stronger hikers and backpackers capable of carrying 30-35 lbs. for many miles. Lightweight backpacks, personal cook systems, camping gear (excluding sleeping bag) and trail meals are provided. Guests are welcomed to bring their own gear & meals if they prefer. We plan to meet at our home base location near Tupper Lake at 7 AM on Day 1. We expect to depart for the 40-45 minute drive to the Cranberry Lake trailhead as soon after packing as possible.
