Overnight
excursions offer a "complete" wilderness experience
Saranac Lake Wild Forest - Ten Rivers Region - St. Regis Canoe

ABOUT
OUR OVERNIGHT LOON EXCURSIONS:
The Common Loon inhabits many of the quiet waters
in our area and are an attraction
for many paddlers. We invite you to join us for an overnight loon
experience. Spend the daylight hours watching them fish and care
for their young. Spend the twilight hours listening to the noises of
the evening and the loon's distinct wilderness calls. Loons tend to be more vocal
during the evening and early morning hours. Learn about their
different vocalizations and what they mean (tremolo, yodel, wail &
hoot). There's a
different sort of peacefulness experienced during the evening and early
morning hours by the
water in the wilderness. Sunsets across the water are astounding
and if you're fortunate, the mystique of the sun rising over a mist
covered pond is a visualization and feeling that will remain with you
forever.
Adirondack
Connections is pleased to be able to offer these unique paddling
experiences. We are the only Adirondack guide service that uses
Hornbeck
lightweight solo canoes for our paddling trips. Solo boats seem
to be preferred by folks who enjoy the freedom to explore that which they are interested
in. Being in your own boat often allows for a more peaceful & relaxing paddling
experience. Adirondack Connections has a fleet of Hornbeck
canoes as well as the paddling and camping gear
necessary for an enjoyable, scenic & comfortable adventure.
Our boats are
a pleasure to paddle... Try one and see for yourself!
