Sept 8-15, 2018 (6-days/7-nights includes lodging) FULL
Aug 31-Sept 7, 2019 (6-days/7-nights includes lodging) Reservation required by September 1, 2018

Acadia National Park, located on Mt. Desert Island off the coast of Maine, is a magical place offering sweeping mountain views, rugged ocean scenery, crashing waves, quiet woods, beautiful sunrises, peaceful sunsets, quaint harbor villages, 120+ miles of hiking trails, 45 miles of rustic carriage roads and fascinating flora and fauna. This is one of our favorite places to pass the time, especially after the summer crowds have left. Acadia is considered one of America's favorite national parks. We welcome you to join us for some fun, fellowship, exploration, adventure and relaxation in a place seems to "have it all."

The Acadia Women's Experiences include cottage lodging for guests who make reservations by the by the indicated date. Guests will be responsible for providing their own meals throughout their stay with the exception of one dinner. The cottages are all non-smoking and come with a fully equipped kitchen, Keurig coffee maker, stack washer/dryer, CD player, iHome alarm clock/iPad/iPod charger, TV and DVD with cable, gas grill, and gas fireplace... All the comforts of home! Cottages are $660-775 USD/week for 2018 (tax included) and have 3 beds in 2 bedrooms. Contact us to check on cottage availability and pricing.

We are offering an "Ala Carte" activity package for the week which includes: (1) group Lobster Dinner; (1) group Oceanside BBQ Lunch at Seawall; (3) Half day guided hikes, bikes or "quiet water" paddles; and (1) Nature, fishing or sunset sea kayak tour. The "Ala Carte" package begins at $375.00 USD/person. Guests may add on other experiences they would like once they arrive. Half day excursions are approximately 3 hours and range from $50 to $75 in price. Throughout the week morning and afternoon active adventures excursions (hike, bike and paddle opportunities, and combinations of such) will be offered. A variety of sight seeing tours targeting the "must see" places in Acadia National Park will also be available. These tours employ various modes of transportation including automobile, ferry and fishing boats, shuttle and trolley buses and horse-drawn carriage to mention a few. Our hope is to offer different experiences each day based on weather conditions and expressed interests. Guests will be able to choose and pay for the additional experiences that appeal to them at that time. We feel this will allow flexibility for budgeting needs, weather considerations, and various activity levels while allowing opportunities for personal exploration to areas and places of interest to individuals. Trips and tours that have been offered to our guests in the past include:

  • Hikes along wide-open granite mountain and ridges with breathtaking scenery
  • Biking on "vehicle free" roads (a 45-mile network of carriage roads with 16 stonework bridges contributed by John D. Rockefeller, Jr. in the 1920s and 1930s)
  • Quiet water paddling experiences on inland lakes, ponds, salt water marshes or nearby harbors
  • Ocean side hiking and nature walks with opportunities to explore the mostly granite shoreline with its many tidal pools and spectacular views
  • Sunset sea kayak tour
  • A stop by the Jordan Pond House for popovers and beverage on the tea lawn, a special and unique Acadia tradition
  • Bar Harbor Whale Watch, Deep Sea Fishing, Historic Lighthouses & Acadia National Park boat tours
  • Visit to Historic Bass Harbor Head Lighthouse
  • Greater and Small Cranberry Island tour

Space is limited to 6 people per week. A minimum of 4 people is necessary to confirm lodging reservations for the 2019 trip by September 1, 2018 so please register early. Thank you. Contact us for more information or with any questions you may have.

Pine Creek Canyon Backpack Trip

Pine Creek Spring Multi-sport Trip Backpack & Bike - Tioga State Forest, PA
April 26-29, 2018

We invite you to join us for a multi-sport backpack and bike experience in northern Pennsylvania. We plan to meet in Wellsboro, PA for this trip. The backpack portion will be along a scenic section of the West Rim Trail which is claimed to be the "Best Hike in Pennsylvania" by Outside Magazine. The pace will be leisurely allowing time to enjoy the wonderful views from the many view points along the way and has a difficulty rating of moderate. The biking will be on the Pine Creek Rail Trail through Pine Creek Canyon. Our plan is to backpack 2-1/2 days and bike 1-1/2 days with camping throughout the trip. Optional lodging is available the night prior and/or the night the trip ends. We will have vehicle support for the bike portion allowing us not to have to bring our camping gear with us while biking. Expect spring conditions with early season flowers, cool temperatures, and no bugs. Space is limited to 4 people so please register early. A minimum of 2 people is necessary to confirm this trip by February 28, 2018. Thank you. Contact us for more information or with any questions you may have.
